Thanks million (also My Irish friend always thanks to people in this way)

By the way

I'm a Korean.
And I'd like to introduce our band.
I'm joining a band called "project Bard"
"2nd moon Irish trad project Bard" is the full name of this band.
We are all Koreans.

2nd moon is the main band that leads this Irish trad project.
We all newly have been learning Irish tunes since last summer.

We traveled to Ireland last summer. We visited many pubs and Fleadhs.
It gives us great inspiration to perform Irish tunes with Irish style by ourselves.
Finally we can't help setting a new project that performs Irish trad tunes.

We are trying to learn more and more Irish tunes.
And We have a plan to go to Ireland again in this summer to see the World Fleadh and Fleadh Cheoil.
And we hope to play in REAL IRISH PUBS. Also we hope to see many Irish musicians and play together.

Here is a movie of us.

Re: I'd like to know these tunes' name.

2nd tune is Frank's Reel,,,don't think I've ever heard the first one. Nice tune, though.

Re: I'd like to know these tunes' name.

No idea about the first reel. That's probably not a traditional tune, though.

By the way, I'm Japanese. It's very nice to know this music is being played in a neighbouring country. Hope the scene is getting big!

Hi 2nd moon and welcome. I don't know the names of the tunes, but nice to know Irish music is played in Korea. I wish we could get audiences that big! Are there any sessions in Korea? If so, why not post them or it here.

Hi 2ndmoon.

What are the names of the tunes in the Rodin video? It's a great set - and very well played! Congratulations to all the players; you have achieved a lot in a short space of time.

Welcome to The Session.

Re: I'd like to know these tunes' name.

The 2nd polka from Four Men and A Dog I have heard called Art O'Keefe's or the Newmarket Polka:

There is a great version of it on First Harvest by Iain MacDonald and Iain MacFarlane

Re: I'd like to know these tunes' name.

Frank's Reel is by John McCusker (the fiddler in the video). I think the first tune in the set is one of his too but I can't place it.

I am just amazed that I could identify the one I did! I am not normally the one to come up with the names.

Saw your video 2ndmoon - great playing from you all. When is the world tour? ;-)

Re: I'd like to know these tunes' name.

Shake a Leg has sat in my thesession.org "tunebook" for the past few years untouched. I have not used the tunebook function in so long. Oops.
