Catskills Irish Arts Week July 15

Catskills Irish Arts Week July 15

To those who are intending to go to East Durham in New York State for the Irish Arts Week: Be sure that your accomodations are secured early. The Fern Cliff House with 90 beds has been sold and will not open again. There will undoubtedly be a shortage of rooms for the week.
I still think that it is a week not to be missed.

While it true that one of the original houses that helped create the atmosphere that made the Catskills Irish Arts Week a big success, the Fern Cliff House will not be open and available to CIAW visitors this year. But there is still plenty of rooms available in the area and some new places listed on the website for the Quill Center which hosts the week and they may even have some rooms at the Weldon House headquarters still available if you act quickly.
http://www.east-durham.org/irishartsweek has a link for accommodations and it is prudent to make your plans as soon as possible.

To make the shortage of rooms worse, apparently the change of dates this year has wrongfooted some of the hotels, who have taken bookings from regular (i.e. non IAW) customers. You have been warned.

I know quite a few people currently getting rooms, why not just give it a try now.
