Any tunes in Nottingham over May bank holiday?

Just popping over for a quick visit to a friend, and was wondering if there are any nice sessions?

Anyone wanting to hear what Niamh sounds like, go to http://www.niamhnicharra.com/. Shouldn't have too much trouble with the session etiquette in getting one of your bodhrán players to give up a seat if Niamh drops in on your session!

Re: Any tunes in Nottingham over May bank holiday?

Thanks for that - just might try it. Of course it does depend on how much (drinking) has already been planned for me:-). Don't like slurring my notes when its involuntary!

Will be down in Cork for the folk festival at some stage I'm sure, so might catch up with you then, Saint. Off to Doolin on Sat for an informal gig / CD launch in O Connor's if you're around B.?

And thanks for the lovely posts:-)

Re: Any tunes in Nottingham over May bank holiday?

Last time I was in Notts there was a session on Tues but can't remember the pub however, the guy in Hobgobblin music seems to know where it all happens. Oh and i think there's one out of town a bit in a pub called "the Swan". Anyway we went about 4 times over the space of six weeks to the Tues sesh and there were some good players and it's not too big except when they have visiting musos. Oh and there are a couple of "you know what" players that might turn up but then I'm sure they know their place :-P
