I heard that there would be the "Maurice O'Keeffe" festival in Kiskeam (Co. Kerry, near Rathmore) this Easter bank holiday week-end.
I wouldn't mind having a look down there.
I was wondering if you had any feedback about it . (photos, sessions). What is the place like? Is it a nice village, and would there be much going on there? Is it worth spending the week-end there?

I spent the weekend there last year. It was a really tiny but magical festival. It's perfect if you want to immerse yourself in Sliabh Luachra style, with small, intimate sessions. There are certainly not many people there: but that means that you don't have overly packed pubs to contend with, while really being able to hear Jackie Daly, Connie O'Connell and the like play. It was a bit different in that it appeared to be a cross between an a festival and a family reunion for the relatives of Maurice O'Keefe (who travel to it from all over the world).
