(I posted this the other day, but in case there a few on today who weren't the last day.)
Im looking a fiddle for around £400 - £500 in or around belfast any suggestions? And of course I'm looking the best instrument I can get at this price.
While i would not like to do a fellow session.orger out of a sale (particlularly when his daughter would kill me) i got mine a couple of years ago from

Decent fiddle well worth the money. I know it said Norn Iron on the post but he does come over here with a van load of instruments for exhibitions a couple of times a year and is pretty good at letting you play about with them in practise rooms etc.
He is probably smart and realises the chronic shortage of quality dealers in the North?
Mention it to Donal O'Connor, Gerry's son. Gerry used to deal in fiddles a bit. Donal used to play in the Duke of York on Thursday nights. He worked in Matchetts music shop in Belfast too, so I'm sure he knows the scene.
Buying a fiddle in the North of Ireland??

Kess,
Hope you're keeping well.

Rab Cherry could probably sort you out as well, tho' I think he is mostly in Dublin nowadays? Google will give you all the necessary links.
