Do anyone have any views on the quality of those Erin open back tenor banjos sold at Eagle Music? Tone? Choice of construction? Build quality? Price? Compared to other brands?
These are popular in norhern England, even though they cost a lot, and I have heard and handled a few. The quality of materials and making is very high and I find the sound very good too. Sound is a personal thing, but they are modelled on the Gibson Mastertone models with an 'archtop' tone ring. If you like the Gibsons you will like the Erins.
