Why oh why when I go to comhaltas.ie and try to buy a CD do I get sent to an AMERICAN CD seller? I am in Europe, Ireland is in Europe too (?) Why can't the CDs be sent from Ireland? OR am I missing something here?
To rephrase, does anyone know a European distributor for this material? Specificall the Fionn Session CDs.
If you'd prefer to get your Foinn Seisiún CDs in Ireland just contact Comhaltas direct on their e-mail (enquiries@comhaltas.com). As far as I know all they require is your credit card number, expiry date and a mailing address and the CDs will be sent to you direct. Sometimes they have a special offer where you can get the music book with the CD for 20 Euro but you'd need to check this out.
I noticed that they don't seem to offer anything anything but those darn Foinn Session CDs anymore... Hopefully the Peter Horan/Fred Finn album and others will resurface at some point.
How do you actually get free tunes playing on your midi off that site? I haven't managed, I just get directed from one bit of text to another whatever word or tune name I click.

Clcik on the tune name, then (and I missed it myself at first) there should be a very small discrete player directly under the tune title. Click the start arrow ... etc.

Re: Buying Comhaltas CDs
I think they have a deal with CD Baby in Oregon USA... why don't they have a distributor over there? Maybe it was too expensive.

All of those recordings, as far as I know, are available tune by tune on the CCE website.
