Would a real musician spent Paddys weekend in a gondola eating cornettoes and leave their mates in the lurch having to drink green pints and play tunes all day. well at least nobody was out of tune suppose you will change your name to Venice strings
Would a real musician spend Paddy's weekend in a gondola - of course he would if he played music, he'd make a killing. He'd tell the punters that the jigs he played on the fiddle were Italian music on an Italian instrument.
But he'd have to get into those trousers.
A real musician stays at home (or sits in a gondola, eating Cornettos) on St. Pat's and goes out to sessions the rest of the year, when the pubs are less crowded and you can play a decent tune.
Personally, I see no logical reason why I should play music on St. Pat's. I'm not Irish, I'm not Christian, I don't drink, I prefer to be able to hear myself and the other musicians and I prefer the average level of intoxiacation among musicians and punters to be moderately merry, not well and truly 'langerzd'.
I did play yesterday and today. But that was different - I was getting payed. Anyway, I never said I called myself a trad musician.
Only taking the p!ss out of absent 29 year old shakey egg player who went on a dirty weekend He wont get this untill tuesday but im sure he will have some comment to add the mad auld hoor wont U celtic.Heard 5 stringers have u on the hit list
Would a real musician spend St. Paddys day posting on a virtual discussion board when there's mountains of money to be made?
At least you can buy strings for the rest of the year
Call yourself a trad musician
