Joe is from Rathfarnham in Dublin, and a nicer fella you could not meet! An experience in itself!

Yes Ceird an cheoil has replaced geantrai, but geantrai is probably back later.

The ceird an cheoil series will feature various instruments in the irish tradition. Last week it was accordion, last night piano and later bouzouki, guitar and more. Well worth watching!

I've just watched the new ceird an cheoil programme on accordians on the web archive. I highly recommend it to all you accordian players - a must watch series. I hope there's one on the banjo. For all of you living outside Ireland this series will be availble via the TG4on line archive site. Enjoy!

Watched it last night it was an excellent program.Great to see him take the instrument through the various stages.Also good to see the Main men behind the Introduction of the bouzouki to irish music.Pity it was only 30 min program.
