A gig possibility, Doylestown, PA

A gig possibility, Doylestown, PA

Greetings All,

I hope this doesn’t violate any of the site’s rules. If so I apologize for my ignorance and welcome the thread's deletion.

I received a call yesterday to perform at an Adult Care Facility in Doylestown, PA ideally the afternoon of March 15th or 16th. Actually they would welcome a performance any afternoon that week. I am booked solid this month so I am hopeful that I can find someone for the facility. They would like an hour of Irish song. They are willing to commit between $120.00 and $150.00 for this performance. If you are interested and available, or know of someone that is, you can reach me through the site here or call (201) 424-6141 for the contact details.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all.

Peace,
Ed

Boy Ed... you are an endless fountain of gigs these days! That's a "good thing". I will pass it along if I hear of anyone.

Re: A gig possibility, Doylestown, PA

Pastrings,

I await your call, thank you for doing this. I'll email you the contact info.

Feisen4treble

I’m sure they would love to have a couple of dancers as well. I'll email you the contact info as well.

Iris,

My phone has been ringing off the hook. Fortunately others have taken those I can’t make. I played with Tony last night at the Brennan Court House in Jersey City for the raising of the Green, White, and Gold ceremony and plugged the Paddy’s Day Light Horse Tavern goings on to the hundred or so folks in attendance. Unfortunately there was a whole gaggle of politicians there too and you know how I get on with those types. This not-withstanding it was nice to be in the Court House voluntarily for a change.

Peace,
Ed

Re: A gig possibility, Doylestown, PA

What about a video link and we'll play live from Ireland, really get into the feel of the festival!

I won't be near Doylestown, but is there anything around Westchester County, NY around the 16th-23rd?

Re: A gig possibility, Doylestown, PA

If anyone's got the air fare and a spare 'zouk, I don't mind coming over for a quick gig, but I've got to be back in The Smoke for a gig on St Pat's.

It's worth a try......

Re: A gig possibility, Doylestown, PA

We’d love to have you over Pete. I’m sure we could rustle up a “Zouk” for you. Don’t know about such a quick return though. The Ol’ Smoke may be Guernsey Peteless for St. Pat’s but you’d be welcome to join Linda, Rose, and I over here in beautiful downtown Jersey City. The land where the lads from Cork, Kerry, and Cavan joined forces to form one of the most powerful political machines in the States thanks to Denny McLaughlin and his pub, as the story goes anyway.

Peace,
Ed

Re: A gig possibility, Doylestown, PA

Hi Ed...
Causeway's pretty booked that week and we're a 5 piece anyway... I referred it to McHenry & Clark (they play all over in SE PA)... maybe they can come through on one of the afternoons. Thanks.

Small Irish pubs in Manhattan! Are there any?

Hi everyone! A few of us are going to New York for St. Patrick's weekend and we are bringing our instruments. Does anyone here know the names of any small Irish pubs in the Mahattan area ( maybe between 30th.St and 4th.St) where the owner might let us start a session ourselves. Some of the Irish pubs in this area appear massive with multiple TV screens for sport and offering themed nights. We hope to find some small Irish pubs like the ones at home. Are there any? Even if we can't play, we're still going to really enjoy our long weekend.

Re: A gig possibility, Doylestown, PA

Hey Bill,

Sorry for the delay, I just got back for two days out on the road late last night. Thanks for spreading the word. Judy called and I put her onto the facility. They called yesterday and it appears that they have found someone. It may be Judy as I only got the message and didn’t speak with the woman myself.

Hey Lilt,

If you want to venture over to the 6th borough, Hudson County, NJ the afternoon of the 18th Linda Hickman and I are hosting a session in Bayonne. Easy trip via the PATH and Hudson County Light Rail.

Hey Pete,

Listen Man, you’d be welcome anytime. There is always a roof to be under and a hot meal to be had.

Peace,
Ed
