A call to all new orleans irish musicians and fans
A call to all new orleans irish musicians and fans
i'm looking to find anybody who is interested in irish music and dance who is not already participating in the sessions celis and dance classes organized by noel reid. ever since hurricane katrina there has been alot of people move away who once joined in the fun so our numbers have dwindled. not that the musicians we have are not enough, they are great and i would be lost without them but i think there are more of us out there somewhere and the more the merrier!
we have slower sessions once a week uptown and dance lessons once a week uptown too. there is also a session in the kerry about once a month and a celi/session in sean kellys a few times a month.
is there any one out there that does not know we are here???
likewise is there a parallel universe and another group just like us somewhere in new orleans that we don't know about???
even if you just play at home and don't think you want to play at a session we still want to hear from you.
if so let me know cause i would really like to fine ye and play some tunes!

Hi Lanefest. Hope things are going well for you there in New Orleans. Last time I was speaking to Noel (Noel always visits us at our Monkstown sessions in Dublin every Summer) things looked pretty bleak after the floods but hopefully it's getting better now.
