I am moving to Clare in the summer and I was wondering does anyone know of anyone that teaches the whistle in Ennis. I will be living in Quin so I will not be that far out...
I'd say just attend a few sessions and ask around once you arrive. Stop off at Custy's music shop too. In less than two weeks, you should have no problem getting a few good referrals.
There was a great Flute/Whistle player living in Quin called Kevin Ryan. If you check out his bands web-site you can probably get in touch

And everyone should be aware that Custy's has moved from Francis Street to the former premises of The Knotted Chord, an alley just off O'Connell Street.

BrĂd O'Donoghue used to teach whistle and flute in Milltown Malbay. Sorry, that's all I know.

When I have been in Custys there has always been a queue waiting for lessons - from what I heard in the back room, they teach whistle.

They are not actually in the premises of the Knotted Chord but two doors down from it.
