Hey everybody, I'm Sara, and I just joined this site. I was looking for some sheet music for a particular tune, I found this site. I'm almost 18, from the state of Maine, and I play the fiddle. It has been a couple of years since the last time I played my fiddle a lot, but I'm back into playing it again. IMO, this is the best site ever for Irish music!
Getting teenagers interested would be as easy as pretending that you hate the music yourself - I suspect that would be pretty hard though Danny seeing as you obviously adore the tunes. Other than that I have no idea - I started at 17.......but I hated it up until I started playing it - I thought my parents were complete geeks!
When dealing with teenagers just make things accessible to them and don't shove it down their throats. Having said that I have kind of been unsuccessful with my two :(
YEah, what a GREAT idea! not. why do you need to get teenagers interested in The Music, anyways? can't they have thier own interests? that being said, I am absolutely obsessed with "The Music" and could not live w/out it!!!
