I have a problem: I have a old Hohner Erica black series C#D (1955-
1960) and the keyboard have a crack. I would like to replace these,
but I don't know where find an old keyboard (wooden od plastic).
Can you help me?
If you live in Europe you could try to ask directly from Hohner service: RTritschler@hohner.de.
You could also ask from the www.melodeon.net discussion group. There is at least Mr. Theo Gibb from England (The Boxplace), who seems to have plenty of information of old Hohners + he repairs them as too.
If you still need a replacement Hohner fingerboard, there's a new aftermarket fingerboard that fits Erica/Double Ray & Vienna/Pokerwork; it comes with thumb groove, removable panel and felt beneath the keys and it really improves the action. I have a couple of different designs, If you want more info, you can email me at info@irishdancemaster.com
