Old Thistle & Shamrock theme; what is it?

Old Thistle & Shamrock theme; what is it?

Can someone tell me the name of the double jig that Fiona R. used as her theme when I was first listening in the late '80's? It was played on flute and bodhran, if I recall correctly.
Thanks,
terry

She used "Garech's Wedding" for a long time - a recording with whistle and bodhran. ...and maybe a harp? And it's a slip jig.

It was Phil Cunningham, as a member of "Silly Wizard" playing the jig "Scarce O' Tatties". Somebody asked about this on "Chiff & Fipple" website earlier this year. I happened to meet the show's presenter Fiona Ritchie the next day, and got that straight from her.

On a "low" whistle, not flute, with Gordon Jones on bodhran.

For many years, the T&S theme was the Cheiftains playing Garech's Wedding, at least here in the States. I wonder if Fiona used different theme tunes for different markets.

Before the Chieftains and "Garech's Wedding," she used a theme by Silly Wizard. I can't recall what it was called, but maybe that's what Kenny was referring to.

Kenny: You hit it on the nose. Thank you very much.
