Winifred Horan and friends

Winifred Horan and friends

I'm trying to get a copy of the above CD. It's mentioned in the tunes section of the session and in Winifred's bio on the Solas site. Supposed to have been released by the Cracker Barrel store but their site has no mention of it. Can anyone help?

Re: Winifred Horan and friends

I found my copy right at my local Cracker Barrel, but that was a couple years ago. If you have one nearby, give them a call and see if they have it in stock.

At the time I bought it, it was on their website, so I wonder if it's gone out of print.

Got mine at a Cracker Barrel as well (yeah, I just happened to spot it as I was walking in). Amazon.com maybe? Does Winifred Horan not have an official site? Perhaps it has got out of print like Crysania said...

Re: Winifred Horan and friends

The album is called "Pleasures of Home" and it was indeed produced and distributed exclusively through Cracker Barrel. They did a series of "folksy" CDs, one country, one bluegrass, etc. Finding it might be tricky, as these things tend to have a limited pressing. I just looked on the Cracker Barrel website, and her CD is not among the "exclusive music" CDs listed there. You might email Cracker Barrel, or drop Win an email through solasmusic.com, although that could take a while (Win is not much of a techno person). Win does not have a site of her own, unfortunately. I hope you can find it, because it really is a very nice CD.

Re: Winifred Horan and friends

I had a long drive home tonight that took me past a Cracker Barrel, so I stopped in for dinner. There was no sign of that CD, which I bought the one and only time I'd previously been to a Cracker Barrel. They still had a display with a dozen or so titles - about half of which looked like they might be ok, but not nearly as interesting as the batch from about four years ago when they put out that series in conjunction with the National Council for the Traditional Arts.
