Software for booking

Has anyone got experience with or knowledge of some good software (for PC) to use for keeping track of venues and contacts in relation to booking? What I need is something small, which includes a database of contacts, a calender and so on. Also It would be good to find something reasonably priced. Any ideas?

an ipod? I use mine to carry contacts address and appointment book. If I am travelling I also keep sheet music on it as .abc as well as a copy of navigator.

Re: Software for booking

Get a cheap PDA (palm or pocketPC) - these have the kind of software you want built in, and can be carried around.

A multi-platform free microsoft office clone.

Is that what you want?

I use old technology, myself: a pocket-sized Daytimer-type notebook. Cheap, portable, and I never have to worry about software bugs or dead batteries.

But you DO have to worry about dropping it in a puddle, leaving it somewhere, and running out of space...

Running out of space? I wish.

Sadly, my schedule is not that full, not by a long shot.
