Forgive me if this has been brought up before, but does anyone have any really great DVDs they might recommend? (Not "how-to", but just a DVD with some enjoyable session madness (preferably fiddle)). All I've found so far with DVDs are groups like Planxty, Capercaille, Chieftains, the usual. So...if anyone's come across some interesting ITM DVDs, let me know!
The Solas Reunion is a combination CD/DVD package, and I really like the DVD. I enjoy watching both Seamus Egan and Winnifred Horan play. A lot of good vocals as well.
I haven't any others to add, but I can personally say that both the Solas Reunion, and the Danu (sorry, my computer can't do the fadas) DVD's are well worth seeing. Multiple times.
I enjoyed the ITM musical soundtrack to the
movie "The Secret of Roan Inish" which I saw and heard on
a DVD that I borrowed from my local public library.
The movie has excellent music throughout with a wonderful recording of Farrel O'Gara's that inspired me to learn the tune.
The DVD of DANU called "One Night Stand" is great. Lots of footage from a live show, as well as bio and histories of the band members. Another good DVD of a live show is of DERVISH, "Live at Johnny Fox'"s".

Hi,
I heard about a concert-dvd by DanĂº. I think it's called "One night stand". It seems to be good as well.

I don't know if it's available on DVD or not, but the video on VHS of Ragus is great, it features Maurice Lennon on fiddle.
