The Chieftans and ALtan.. I have this on something at home... Its great to see 3 different fiddle bows going up and down in differnt directions at the same time... It shows that there is more than one way to skin a cat.
For Mr Gill's further education may I suggest that the Chieftains played with James Galway, and he can certainly play, perhaps not Irish Traditional, but he can play. So can Van Morrison, and Michael O'Suillevoin (?) and various others too numerous to mention. They have also played with ME, so I take his earlier slur as a personal insult.

Tsk Tsk bb - I bet Michael O'Suilleabhain can spell your name bodhran bliss!
Must agree with you though, Chieftains have played with some great musicians down through the years, not least, the Chinese musicians!

Hey, nice one Spoon - how do you get those wee hats for your a's? I want one!
I must check - maybe I should really have one of those for my name too.
Or maybe having a silent P makes mine special enough!

Re: Anyone for the Chieftains & Altan?
Ptámigan, you hold "alt Gr" as you hit the letter. Sometimes need to do it a few times to get it to work. As for spelling in Irish, Is cuma líomsa.
