Does any know of any web pages that have pictures of people playing the fiddle or in sessions? I sometimes like to draw.

Re: Pictures

Try google images. Search for fiddle players.
I do a lot of cut and paste from there for flyers.

If you want to really enlarge a picture right click on it, choose copy then right click on an open word doc and choose paste.
From there you can make it as large as you want

Re: Pictures

You could also try wwww.youtube.com and search for "Irish session." There are quite a few videos of sessions which you could "pause" at the point where you like it. I don't think you can "copy and paste" but I think you can print the paused image.

Re: Pictures

Hey, Kheelch
I have lots of pictures on file from parties I've been to. Drop me a line and I can send you some if you like.

Re: Pictures

Go to Google's "images" search function and type in the name of a fiddler who's reasonably well-known --- Kevin Burke, Martin Hayes, Paddy Canny. You'll get lots of images to choose from --- and you can do the right click copy, or do a drag-and-drop, to save the ones you like. You can't expand them, though, without losing image quality in a hurry, so if you really like the image click on it to be taken to the source webpage and copy it from there.

Re: Pictures

Hate to sound very negative, but most of what has been said above sounds like out and out plagiarism to me!

Re: Pictures

Relax, scraper...Kheelch said he (or she) just likes to draw fiddlers sometimes. Hardly anything that the art world will become alarmed over.
