Is it like the Stephen King / Richard Bachman thing, Will? You're using a nom de plume to see if people regard you for your wit or for your reputation eh?
LOL, Eliot, only a So-Californian would think that 53 was cold. <grin>
Let's just say the changed screen name is part of an overall aim to make a smaller blip on the radar. Lots of diverse topics/ideas/opinions here now that we've topped 30,000 registrants, so less reason to chime in just to keep the momentum rolling.
Besides, I don't live under the Big Sky for the high-speed screen time. Rivers to run, mountains to climb, tunes to share. Life is good, eh?
(FWIW, the fiddle/session player's book is taking shape, but other--read: paying--work keeps bumping it to the back burner. Thanks to those who've voiced reminders and encouragement.)
Is the Will from the Helena area of Montana?
If so, maybe you can help me out. We just found out this week the Boys of the Lough are going to be playing in Billings, Montana on November 29th, 2006. Could you let the people in your part of the state of the concert. It is being held as a fund raiser for a local man that was hurt in an accident.
Thanks, Patrick
I can email more information if needed.
Yep, I'm in Helena. Patrick, I will certainly pass word around about the Boys coming to Billings--sounds like good craic for a good cause. Thanks for the heads up.
So I seen this Will Harmon bloke in person once. If you heard his playing--rotten. Kept stopping and complaining the fiddle was out of tune. It weren't that but his fingers and ears.
Eliot, you should appreciate the lengths I went to to spare your feelings. (I mean, we've all heard you and Dave playing Out on the Ocean.) Next time I suppose I'll have to slit my throat.

Question about a member
Hi
this feels a bit odd......
Is Will Harmon still on this board ?
I used to enjoy his posts, now he doesn't seem to be around lately.

He's still here and posts regularly under the moniker, "Whoosis."

Less regular these days...blame it on age and not enough fiber.

Most of us are still here but we've changed our "handles" so to speak. I resisted for long enough but, if you can't beat them.....

I definitely miss Zina's past prolific presence. I even miss old KFG, although I know his massive postings grated on the nerves of some.

This is the same Will I know who once sliced his left hand index finger with a razor blade so he wouldn't have to play in a session with me.
Where will it end, Will? Where?
