Is anyone aware of any good trad Irish music on dvd?
I have dvds of Dervish, Danu, the Chieftains and Solas, and I understand teada's new album comes with a dvd. Can anyone recommend anything else?
There may not be all that many trad Irish dvds around at the moment but the good news is that tape isn't going to around for much longer and all the new stuff will certainly be on dvd.
There may even be a possibility of putting back catalogues onto dvd - we can but hope.
gráda's dvd should be available for download soon on this site: http://www.gradamusic.com I was at the gig, it was recorded at in Temple bar for promotional purposes. I'll be in the third row on the right, keep you eyes peeled!

Re: ITM on DVD?
I really dig the Planxty reunion DVD, which includes a retrospective as well... It's a must have for any ITM fan.

Does anyone know if the Bothy Band can be found on video/dvd?

Re: ITM on DVD?
One recent DVD release is the 50th anniversary concert celebrating the 1956 Ennis Fleadh. You can get it from Custy's in Ennis.
As for The Bothy Band, RTÉ certainly has some recordings, but there's little chance of enough being available to comprise a DVD.

Re: ITM on DVD?
In response to your prompt, Geoff, I've just found this dvd of old recordings, including the Bothy Band:

This looks like a more promising version:

Re: ITM on DVD?
Fine, but I meant that there's not enough available to constitute a Bothy Band DVD!

Re: ITM on DVD?
Point taken. Thanks for your help. In the meantime I'd settle for a clip on You Tube.

Re: ITM on DVD?
There is a nice three-disc recording of highlights from the Celtic Roots Festival in Goderich, Ontario, Canada. (Includes Gearoid O'hAllmhurain and Michael O'Raghallaigh on disc 3):

Re: ITM on DVD?
Teada's latest effort (forget the name) comes with a 'bonus DVD' of live performances as well.
