Sheetmusic question

Sheetmusic question

I just submitted a tune in ABC format. I'm just wondering how to make it appear as sheet music as well. (I'm new to this). Is this something that just happens on it's own, or do I have to do something? Thanks.

Re: Sheetmusic question

Moisten a lollipop, stick it to your forehead then stand on your left foot unsupported,
lift your right leg high enough so that you can reach around beneath it with a full pint glass of Guiness and drink the entire pint while in that posture. Post in this thread a link to an image of you doing this and the sheet music will appear.

Re: Sheetmusic question

Better still, send us all £10 each, or the equivalent in your local currency, and I guarantee it'll be there in the next few days. You should also include Jeremy in this, as he'll be doing all the work - we are merely "technical consultants".
[ Missed an opportunity there, lads. ]
FiddleInferno - jeremy will convert the abcs to sheet music when he has the time. Usually takes less than 24 hrs.
And welcome to "The Session".

Re: Sheetmusic question

To find out how to write a tune in abc properly, look up Chris Walshaw on the net, thence abc home page, thence an abc tutorial put togethrer by Steve Mansfield; the instructions there are more comprehensive than the ones I've found in "Tunes" on this website.
If your abc's aren't right by the computer system, they won't be translated into sheet music. But I've found it all too easy to get a tune right by the system but then read the sheet music and find I've got some notes wrong, through not having been careful. It's a pesky business!

Re: Sheetmusic question

Laitch - You clearly spent too much time in India in your youth.

Nicholas - unlike all the other contributors to this thread, you haven't answered the question posed.

Re: Sheetmusic question

Hi
Download "ABC Navigator 2 "after you have written the abc format it will store it in a file, play it (very basically),and print out the music.By the way its free.

Re: Sheetmusic question

This sites abc links page... a solid resource

I use Navigator a bit, but mostly abcedit ==> http://www.abcedit.tk/

... and to jeep it on topic, don't worry about the sheet. It'll happen.
