On Clare FM's most recent archived programme there was a song about a spoon player and his ultimate murder! It's from a recording (with accompanying book) called "The Spoon Murder and Other Mysteries" Despite much searching I can't find a supplier to order it from - does anyone have any suggested online source please.
Just want to point out that PurpleHayes007's link is to an earlier recording of The Spoons Murder, not the new one that Wendy requested. The trio album by O'Drisceoil, Hamilton, and Creagh is wonderful, but it's not the item in question.
Thank you for all suggestions. Still not managed to track one down though - even the Pipers website says "availability unknown"!
At least I've got the words now (if I have the courage to sing them for the benefit of our session soup spoon player who loudly accompanies EVERYTHING - Airs & Songs included!)
I have been selling Con's book/cd for a few weeks now. It's flying off the shelf here in Cork. I'll get it up on-line on our store in the next few days. Keep an eye out on http://www.thelivingtradition.com
