I stumbled upon this site recently, seems very cool!
I'm a 16 year old acoustic guitarist from Perthshire, and a big fan of celtic music and the like. I'll no doubt be submitting a couple of tunes soon enough!
If anyone's at all interested (and I apologise if this seems like I'm spamming on my first post...!) I've got a few recordings of my playing that you can listen to here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=281949 - if you've got any feedback then I'm all ears.
Has anyone else got any recordings of themselves? If so I'd love to hear it!
I enjoyed listening to quite a lot of that Andy. A especially like your Bradenburg horpipe thing, lovely. Only 16? I look forward to you getting out more.
Hello! er, god I should have a recording online- I keep meaning to get around to it.... you know, I don't have like any recordings o/ myself now that i think of it...crap. well, only recordings of myself in sessions, but that doesn't really count does it? now i m just rambling on, ooooh- I really like your playing! how long have you been at it?
Very good,Andy. Maybe you'll come over and visit us in Fermanagh! Play some tunes in Blakes of the Hollow ( A pub, which should have a tune named after it). Theres a challenge for ya!
Ha! Yes! Someone my age! Hi, Andy. (Teenagers who are in love with this kind of music----few and far between, I think). Anyway, as everyone else has said, you sound really great. Beautiful songs, as well. Keep on playing---you sound really awesome.
Wow, just realized exactly how far between: Perthshire---America (the middle of nowhere)---and Argentina.
I'm all for the Session Island idea. Anyone want to hire one of those 'bush planes' to scout out some small, uncharted island?
There's no one where I live who's my age and actually likes the traditional music of Ireland and Scotland. And I mean no one. "What kind of music are you 'into'?"
"Oh, I just mostly listen to the Irish and Scottish traditional music."
"The what?!"
"Irish---traditional---music."
"Bagpipes?!"
"Well, no, not all of it is just bagpipes---"
"She listens to bagpipes!"
Yeah, you get the idea. Normal reaction when I let my friends know what REAL music sounds like.

Re: Hi!
Yeah, we're few and so far between! It would be great to have a "The Session Island" in the middle of the atlantic just to join ourselves and play.
