Altan are playing the Nettlebed Folk Song Club in Oxfordshire on the 30th October and appearing as part of the Royal Festival Hall's 'Folk in the Fall' series on the 5th November.
I doubt whether they'd be flying back and forth twice in a week so there's probably at least one gig in between the two I've mentioned. Strange that there's nothing up on http://www.altan.ie as it's usually up to date.
Of course, if you're outside the UK this information is of absolutely no use whatsoever.
If you're outside Oxfordshire and don't have a car, The Nettlebed Folk club is of little use. I went to see The Kathryn Tickell Band there about 12 years ago, walking the 5 miles or so from Henley station. After the gig, I walked back into Henley, but the last train was long gone. After a failed attempt to sleep under a bridge in the September cold with nothing but a thin raincoat to cover me, I spent the night roaming the fields, saw a muntjack deer through the morning mist (I had no idea what it was - I thought I was hallucinating) and eventually stumbled upon Wargrave station in time for the first train to Reading.

Can anyone direct me to a tour schedule for ALTAN? None on their website.

And the moral of the story is: if you can't get a car, get a thicker raincoat.

Spoon that's hilarious, the bit about the muntjack deer, but I bet it wasn't funny at the time.
