Going on previous years it will be the 24,25 & 26 August - it's always the last weekend in August where the Monday falls within the month. I think it's great to have it fairly central where the travelling time is reasonable for most people.
My advice: get there and stay put for the weekend!!! Tullamore is the most God awful place to try and get through in a car even on a normal week day. Cycle, walk, crawl ... anything but drive!
The dates may be changed next year. Our Provincial Chairman informed us that there is a movement underway at "The Top" to move the Fleadh to the weekend prior to the "usual" one. This would accommodate the many students who are involved who have conflicting school schedules.
I hope Mairin D is right regarding a possible change of dates as having it a week earlier would definitely be welcomed by anyone involved with school times (possibly the majority of people!)
