Good Irish pubs/sessions in NYC?

Hey,

does anyone know of any places I should goin NYC to hear and maybe even play in a few sessions? Someone told me to go to a place called Mona's. Are there anyplaces that you recommend as being the best?

Here's a link of sessions around NYC:

Mona's on Monday night is great and can be high paced and is late--starts at 11.

My session, Dempsey's on Tuesday night, is pretty easy going and you'd be more than welcome.

What happened to the Irish Centre ? I went to a great session there in '77.

Ceol was a pretty nice spot, and Tony DeMarco was in it the time we visited. Excellent tunes!

The 11th Street Bar is considered THE place to go on Sunday nights.
O'Neills on 3rd Ave is also VERY good - Saturday at 9, Sunday 7:30
Blaggard's on Sundays 5pm to 8
Paddy Reilly's Thursdays 11pm with Tony DeMarco
Dr Gilbert's (operated by musician Desi Groak / Mayo) on Broadway in the Bronk (Riverdale) several nights/week
