just bored
I'm a John Carty kind of guy myself. I hold the same opinion when both play the flute as well. Both being mighty fine flute players as well.

When it comes to cheesy 1980's album covers, Frankie Gavin definitely wins.
I think they are both great fiddlers and would be hard pressed to state a preference. Mommy and daddy loves all their children equally.

John Carty has the best album names.

And "The Cat that Ate the Candle."
Fair enough question if you're bored.
Carty. While I respect the skill that he demonstrates, Gavin is often too busy and fast for my taste.

Both are Masters of their Art with their own styles - never did like competitions.

I'd be on the Carty team as well. As regards album names, rumour has it he's a bit of a farmer so i'm banking on the next album being called "Pull the Udder one".......
