How do you combine two items in the discussion search so that you narrow the results?
For example if I search for
fiddle guitar
I expect to get all discussions that have fiddle AND guitar but what I get is fiddle OR guitar.
It should work like google ie. adding terms narrows the results not widens them.
Any ideas?
I've said it before and I'll say it again: you don't need to use Google.
If you want to do a Google search for "site:thesession.org [search term]", just use the site-wide search on the front page. It uses Google to do the searching. The results are exactly the same as going to Google, but you don't have to leave the site:
I suspect the problem may be that if others are like me, they rarely visit the front page, so that search feature is out of sight, out of mind. My bookmark for the site is to the discussion page and I usually click thte tune and recordings tabs daily and the sessions and events tabs a couple of times per week. The only time I see the front page is when I visit from someone else's computer.
Would it be possible to rework the search features on the other pages so they are more powerful? Having a full boolean search for tune titles, for example, would be very helpful. It would also be nice in the advanced search of ABCs to look for tunes that contain both of two short phrases.

Re: Searching discussions.
Yes, as has been mentioned before .. use Google! Put thesession.org in your search plus whatever topic.
