Hi, What is the conventional wisdom here about the "must-attend" traditional Irish music festivals, events and workshops that are staged in the U.S.? Is there a "Merle Fest" or a "Telluride" of Irish music in the U.S.? What instrumental workshops are things to plan the year for?
Well, I would say The Swannanoa Gatherings' Celtic Week. But that's just me! I guess Augusta is pretty big too, though I've never been; maybe next year. What are you looking for? entertainment, or classes or sessions or dances? competitions?
