Re: The World Fleadh

Anything with the word 'World' in the title needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I will be staying far away from it.

Bull's field - have you looked at the line up? http://www.theworldfleadh.com/programme.html

If I could I would go there as it looks like there will be some serious craic. But agreed that the 'world' title is perhaps a wee bit OTT - but who cares as long as the music is good.

Not sure I will bother with it. Its the same line ups as I have seen at most festivals this year. Deisieal are back together and playing at it but they are also playing in Dublin so will probably go hear them there instead. I notice that Danu arent doing it?

Re: The World Fleadh

Who cares if the music is good? Whats Aslan doing in the line up - hardly traditional and not even 'Celtic' (whatever that means). Not impressed by the line up - sorry. If crass commercialism is your thing - then go for it. I will be in Kiltyclogher myself playing with people who love the pure drop and are proud of their tradition. Most of the people going to the 'World' fleadh will not have a clue what the word 'tradition' and 'culture' mean.
