Cool--their user names may have changed, but some of the folks on that original list of discussions are still around. There has been a lot of fun (and sometimes a bit of anger) going on since then, and LOTS of people have benefitted from this valuable resource. We all may have our quibbles and differences from time to time, but speaking for myself, I would never have found the sheet music for a lot of tunes I wanted to learn without this website, and I have learned an awful lot from the discussions over the years. Fine job Jeremy.
Yellow pixels are typically much cheaper than other pixels because they're not in so much demand and can be bought at knock-down prices. In particular the EU has a "pixel lake" due to overproduction caused by the recent entry of ex-communist countries whose five year plans were woefully out of whack with reality. Statistics show that the Internet uses mainly flesh-coloured pixels, with blue being in second place and these are produced in vast mines in third world countries, but sold at a premium in the West. The miners see very little of the money. If you are concerned, you should buy your pixels from a fairtrade supplier.
i've been around since the beginning. actually, i remember the site Jeremy had set up before he instituted the current interactive mustard-brown version. but i'll tell you all a little secret: there is a hidden button on the website that if you click it then the whole color scheme magically transforms into lucky charms green and little green leprechauns are busting out all over the place. i swear. it's the truth!

Re: nostalgia ain't what it used to be
R T C why blue? - I just checked the eleven forums I have bookmarked and the predominant colour of each is:
8 - blue
1 - green
1 - tan
& of course this Mustard page
Nice to be different, isn't it?

Actually, Farr, I must correct you. Monkey feces are not the color of this discussion board. Monkey urine, perhaps.........

Re: nostalgia ain't what it used to be
I can tell you from experience that Orang Utan's vomit is yellow.
Is that any help?
And as for history, it's just one thing after another.
