Coaches are cheap, but it takes a long time and you'll get exhausted. Time is money, you know. I'd rather use Easyjet or RyanAir.
With plenty of time, I'd use Citylink to travel from Scotland to NI: http://www.citylink.co.uk The scenery around Stranraer is just amazing. From England to the Republic, you can stop at Wales for a night and then take a ferry to cross the sea. Conwy is the best bet. I'd love to be back there some day with a girlfriend. (I'm gillions of miles away and lonely....)
I too would prefer to fly with Ryanair which is what I usually do for trips between Ireland and England. However, as a senile OAP, I take exception to 21061's comment. I call upon all senile OAPs everywhere to stand up and mumble their protests in failing voice. I am too old to learn how to place one of those non-smiley boo-hiss faces here ( ), so could someone younger please do it for me.

Beaten to it by 'frozenstiff' - As another senile OAP (well rapidly approaching) I too took offence -
But would also prefer cheap flight -
(rather than share a coach with a load of gagling youngsters with their hissing earpods - junk food rubish - falling down jeans with crotches at knee level etc etc etc !)
Ptarmy, I actually fancy an Irish gal with a Yorkshire accent. Why am I here in this stupid country with heaps of earthquakes and bloody noisy American military jets?
Let's get this straight now. Are you saying you prefer the shape of the Irish girls, but you don't like the way they talk?
- you need to be careful - you know how touchy women can be!
....& the more I touch them, the more touchy they become! boom boom!
Cheap travel to Ireland!
Cheap travel to Ireland!
Hi everyone! Hope you're all well.
I'm back from my travels and thought you might like to know about an incredible fare I found.
You can travel from London to Cork, return, for 9 pounds (haven't got pound sign on this Aussie computer!)
Go to
http://www.nationalexpress.com
and press on Ireland! You have to travel overnight, but there are three rest breaks and you're in Cork for 10.35am!
Thanks to all you "sessioners" who made a great trip for me. Lovely to catch up with old, and make new friends!
Love and peace, Brianx
