IRISH TRADITIONAL FIDDLE MUSIC
by Randy Miller and Jack Perron
Second Edition by Randy Miller
"Frankly, it's the best Irish tune collection issued for many a long year." --Geoff Wallis*
The new and expanded edition, released on St. Patrick's Day 2006, of the landmark collection of Irish fiddle tunes first published in 1977.
ITFM has helped introduce several generations of American musicians to the beauty and delights of Irish fiddle tunes.
I have it. It is great. Like Bob himself, I haven't had time to really dig into it yet. I enjoy just reading the information about the tunes. Always something new to learn!
Had mine for about a month now. It's a great tune book. I really like the notes on each tunes about the settings abd background of the tune. The discography is top notch too.
I have an old "Fiddle Case" sized edition of the first three volumes I bought more than 20 years ago. Really first rate transcriptions of classic recordings.
I may have to order the new edition, just so I can revisit the book without having to strain my old eyes- the print in the one I have is quite small.

Yes Larsheen, when you buy your copy, there is an index at the front!
But serously, why not try E-mailing Randy at: jrmiller@sover.net
He might be happy to forward the list of tunes, especially if it means you are thinking of buying the book!
