Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

…although it is very entertaining and demonstrates great interpretation of rhythm and movement, two key components of the tradition.

What talent!!!!

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

Imagine if he'd spent all his time practicing ITM instead of just playing with his balls?

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

As juggling is a typical percussionist's hobby I have to state here that Chris Bliss could be accepted as a bodhran player in our session...

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

Yep, I'll bet he'd be a great bodhran player too. But just imagine if he'd spent all his time practicing ITM instead of just playing with his tippers?

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

Could it be Mr Bodhran Bliss undercover?

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

I wonder if he can do the same with shakey eggs..
Imagine this guy coming to your session, collecting all the shakey eggs from the room and starting his show outside the pub. Wouldn't that be a cunning way to get rid of them?

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

Hey guys, here's another juggler playing with his balls, but this time he's actually playing music at the same time:

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

What is tradition? Does it ever evolve? Were there fiddles in early traditional music? Greek Bouzoukis? Is it possible, true traditional music was all vocal? Is it possible, true traditional music was all vocal with someone maintaining a rhythym clapping or tapping their feet? How do you know? Why do fiddlers tap their feet? What is truth?

As I am convinced that you, O'Dumbnuts, are simply a pigment of your own intoxication, I am only prepared to offer you the answer to your final question:

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

Folks, Ptarmigan can't even read a few questions without getting mouthy. Can't use his real name either. Bet his name is Dick. [You know I'm right, Dick. You're the little short fat guy in that terrible movie you need to brag about all the time. Every time I've run into you your going on about how great you were in your little segment of glory. Get over it. Remember me - I'm the guy...ah, you figure it out.] Why do some people need to always put others down to make themself feel better. Just act better and you'll feel better about yourself. It works for others and it could work for you. If not, say a few more stupid things and call me a few more names and maybe that will help.

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

Wow... I'd like to see him do that to the "Guns of the Magnificent Seven."

That's some amazing juggling. He and Michael Motion could put on quite a show.

That Beatle's song seems to lend itself well to things like that. One of the most memorable and amazing for me was when a local radio station that sponsors fireworks synchronized to music every year, (they broadcast the music over the radio,) and they used it as the finale. Brilliant!

Phew! I'm glad I didn't waste any time answering any of your other questions - O'Dubhanaigh!

With a sense of humour like that, we'd have been here for hours.................

Nice to find your bio so open, friendly & informative!

Now, what was this thread about ..............Oh yeah - balls!

Re: Nothing to do with Traditional Irish music…

Aye Button, or even Rimskij-Korsakov: The Flight of the Bumble-Bee! Come to think of it, I wonder if anyone ever tried to play 'that' as an IT Reel?
