Why, you can get them right here, from your friendly neighbourhood thesession.org, by following these 4 easy steps
1) Find a tune you like in the tune section
2) Download the midi file
3) Send the midi file to your phone via bluetooth
4) Set the midi file to be your ringtone.
Viola!
If you don't have bluetooth, just badger someone with a laptop - email them the tune, then they can 'tooth it to your phone.
Also, your phone can play mp3s as ringtones, so copy a track you like from one of your CDs, stick in Audacity to edit it down to a 5-10 sec clip, apply a wee bit of compression, and... bluetooth it up to your phone and set as ringtone. Cello!
Thanks! Sounds a bit technical to me. I'm using a laptop right now but wouldn't know how to 'tooth' a tune to my phone! Sorry, I live in the dark ages.
Go to www.unmlimitedringtones.com. They have a ton of trad stuff. All my ringtones are from them. And it doesn't even sound like a Midi file. You can get ones that sound like pipes or whistles or whatever. Don't know if it will work for a UK phone, but it won't hurt to check.
Am i right in thinking i can download a tune from one of my cd's and email it to myself, open it on my mobile and save it, then place it in my ringtone bank on my mobile?

Re: UK Mobile ringtones
Maybe, but you'd be wrong in thinking that you could get away with it.
