Hi
I saw the Ceilli Allstars (session band in the Lobby Bar-Cork City) play "the American set" on TV.
Does anyone know what tunes make up this set????
thanks
How's the form John? The names of the tunes in "The American Set" are The Kitchen Girl/ Wes and Maggie's/ Ramnee Ceilidh. The lads got the first one from the Scottish band Russell's House, as far as I know they only brought out one album. The second one Tosh got from the guy who wrote it, Leo McCann, a box player from the North, I'm not sure if he recorded it. And the last one can be found on Flook's Rubai album, although Tosh actually learned it in Edinburgh before the Flook album came out. I hope that's of some help to you, how's the Joe Foley treating you?

Re: Tunes in "the American set"
The mandolin is fine but the lack of volume makes me think i should have got a bouzouki or mandola or something else-his instruments are works of art
