'They'll be good yet' CD Launch

'They'll be good yet' CD Launch

On Saturday January 7 th Kitty Hayes & Peter Laban's CD 'They'll be good yet' was launched at tehe Crosses of Annagh. There was a full house. Kitty (concertina) and Peter (pipes) played, Tom Munnelly did the officallaunch speech after which Kitty and Peter were joined on stage by fluteplayers Brid O Donohue and Kevin Crawford for a lashing of tunes in C.
When Kitty left the stage the three on stage were joined by Dympna O Sullivan on concertina and a forty minute session on concertina, two flutes and whistle followed while on the floor wild sets were danced.
After a break Josephine Marsh, Mick Kinsella and Maurice Coyle took the stage with some fine music. The evening concluded well after two when Peter and Kitty were joined on stage by Jackie Small for some final tunes.

A great night.

The CD was recorded in Kitty's kitchen, the two playing unhurried West Clare music. 'Unpolished 'real' music' is the comment heard most often so far.

Re: 'They'll be good yet' CD Launch

I got mine in the mail two days ago and finally started listening today. It's got a nice, relaxed feel. It makes me want to stay home from work, start a fire in the wood stove, brew a pot of coffee on it, and read a good book. It also makes me want to play a C set of uilleann pipes and invite over a friend who plays 'tina.

All The Best,

Dirk
