Source for Ed Reevey tunebook?

Source for Ed Reevey tunebook?

Hello! I'm interested in finding an Ed Reevey tunebook or a book that would have a good number of Reevey tunes in it. Any suggestions?
Thanks very much!

Re: Source for Ed Reevey tunebook?

Perhaps you might first try by searching under his actual name - Ed Reavy! :)

Re: Source for Ed Reevey tunebook?

BTW, it's http://www.reavy.us/Reavycom.abc -- if you read abc or want to have it handy on your computer, rather than buying the printed book.

Julia,

check out

http://www.reavy.us/Reavycom.abc

also, I believe Ossian carries a book you could buy.

Good luck, I love Ed Reevey/Reevy/Reavy (I've seen various spellings) but Reavy it is.

Re: Source for Ed Reevey tunebook?

I''ve found the Reavy books (two so far, one a favorite tunes book, the other a set of his tunes) on http://www.abebooks.com which is a favorite site for buying books.

Re: Source for Ed Reevey tunebook?

Has anyone gone through the Reavy abc collection recently. I downloaded and printed it some years ago and it was riddled with errors. I don't just mean unexpected notes which are his trademark anyway, there were bars with wrong note quanta per bar. There were more than a few notes that just sounded a little too weird for my ears, but certainly an amazing number of really great tunes in there.
I just wondered if it had been re-edited or if anyone else found the same.

A search for Reavy on JC will render you with a boatload of tunes. I downloaded them as .png and printed them.

Re: Source for Ed Reevey tunebook?

I've found useful the http://www.reavy.us/Reavycom.abc but can someone help me to understand the meaning of tne numbers referred to each tune (i.e. Beyond Ballybay 95)? Are they progressive numbers from a printed book (like in O'Neill)? Or are they Ed Reavy's Opus numbers?
