Yup they were a Belfast based band: Davey Maguire on flute Joanne McSherry on fiddle Paul McSherry on guitar and Milo Crossin on Mandolin They only released one LP which I too had a copy of - it was a belter! It'sreally strange that you should bring the topic up as I was thinking about them the other day. Someone asked the name of the jig; the first time I heard it was on the Commonalty recording and I was able to provide the name (The Wedding Jig) If anyone has a second copy of that recording I would happily buy it off them as mine was "borrowed" some years ago. There is some info on the Web somewhere if you Google "Davey Maguire".
Commonalty
Commonalty
Does anyone know a group called "Commonalty"? A friend of mine gave me a recording by this band a long time ago,and I don't know anything about it.
