Estes Parl Highland Games (scottish/irish festival)
did anyone go to the festival at estes park this weekend? I did, I found it quite enjoyable. I saw alex beaton, seven nations, maggies revenge, off kilter, and the james kelly band. Comments?

BTW, Anna, Will's going to be in town this weekend, and I'm going to try and get him to come up to the Ft. Collins session as well as the SCTLS -- so it'd be a good time to come on over to Conor's Sunday night. If you need a ride, let me know, we've a couple of people who might be able to give you a ride back hom or there or whatever.

I went to the Highland's Festival. Saw Molly's Revenge play and thought they were very good. Also watched the jousting -- they are making more money riding than I am, but unfortunately there is a risk of death and/or serious injury more substantial than you'd find in any equestrian discipline not involving galloping at each other at top speed and hitting each other with long, pointy objects.

ZIna. I would love to come to the session this weekend. I would love a ride if its not too much trouble. I will email you about details. Thanks a bunch zina.

Did Alexs cowboy boots have pointed toes or square toes?

I played at the ceili, which was fun, though every year I've noted it gets a little smaller.

Yep, I was there for Sunday---played in the folk music competition...I like getting comments to help me improve my playing.
Unfortunately, I wasn't really so keen on the performers this year.
