I've got this tune from a Ceili band recording. I transcribed the A part to my best ability, and hope that it will suffice for somebody to recognize. I couldn't find it in the tune base.
It's a hornpipe, or played like one...
It's not 3532, Laitch.
Could be banana's tune, as far as I can tell.
Maybe I should call it "Banana's favourite"
Or somebody may still come up with a name...
Sixholes, could you transcribe the B part? The A you posted sounds something like a hornpipe version of the Laird of Drumblaire, but then the B part may be completely different . . . .
I would say that with a few minor alterations that would be no more than another "setting", it fit's Sean Ryan's hornpipe: http://thesession.org/tunes/display.php/1036
If the B section was a reasonable match then that would clinch it for me.
That is, it is both 3532 and 1036, they are all so close to each other to make one assume that they ar one and the same tune.
I guess I'll refer to it as "Sean Ryan's".
