I have a gig about 3 hours from now on an open outside stage. I am a whistle player and there is about a 10 MPH wind blowing today, I've played in wind before and have had some nightmare expieriences. Besides trying to put my back to the wind, does anyone have any advice for me?.......any tricks that I don't know about. Thanks.
WOW!..These are all great ideas, thanks. I went outside and turned the windway upside down and it actually worked. I don't know how it will come out with a microphone but I will find out. Its got to be better than getting no sound at all. Thanks again.

Re: Whistle & Wind
I once saw a concert where the wind was so bad, the flautist just gave up, and picked up his bouzouki. It is a good thing he was bilingual...

Windway upside down... Wow that's cool. I should try playing outside when it's windy.

Re: Whistle & Wind
That's what all flute players should do, even when it's not windy
