I have tried to print tunes from this site, but only get the outline of the page(its not the printer) can anyone advise me how to do this?
Thanks in advance
Tommy
If you log on with your username and password and go to a tune, click on the "Download" tab. Then, click on the link for the sheetmusic.
Voila! You've got just the sheetmusic which you can then print out.
Alternatively, add the tune to your tunebook, go to your member profile to arrange your tunebook and then click on the link for printing. You will get the sheetmusic for all the tunes in your tunebook.
If you want higher quality print-outs, I'd suggest downloading the original ABCs of the tune and opening it in some ABC software that writes out some good quality sheetmusic (see the "Links" section for some suggestions for software).
Here's how I print tunes from this site: I go to the "ABC" tab of the tune I want, highlight it with my cursor and copy it. Then I click the "Links" menu on the side, click on the ABC software category (sorry, I can't remember exactly what it's called), and click on "ABC Convert-a-Matic" -- it's the first one in the ABC section. Once that site comes up, I paste my ABC tune into the window and hit the "submit" button. A fuzzy image of the sheet music comes up on the screen. Click the "PDF" option to get a good clear image to print.
This almost always works. I've run across a few tunes that the ABC Convert-a-Matic couldn't make sense of -- some errors in the ABC, I suppose, or maybe a different version.
If you're having problems with the Download function for some weird reason, you could also right click on the gif of the sheet music and view the image in a new window -- and then print out the gif from that browser window. You can also save the gif file of the sheet music that way to your hard drive and take it into a graphics editor and print it from there.

But the download function should work.
