I went to Fiddle Tunes for 3 years beginning in 1999. It was a lot of fun and you interact with some great instructors and meet a lot of other people. Great concerts and great jamming. But it's also become very expensive and some of the classes with popular instructors can get very large and crowded. If the weather is good it's very pretty and fun to play outdoors. But if it rains, it's not so nice.
Brian Conway and Mark Simos were the Irish performers this year. Heard they were a huge hit as teachers and performers. Anybody on the list make it to their classes or perfomances?

Re: Fiddle Tunes (the festival)
If you taught at Fiddle Tunes this year it would be nice if you said something.

Re: Fiddle Tunes (the festival)
I keep looking at the brochure every year, but can't quite afford to do it. (Kid in college = poor).
There are lots of smaller festivals that happen in the Northwest with very nice little workshops. You just have to pay attention.
