What a great site! I have been playing fiddle for about 9 months now. I'm originally from Canada now living in NYC and used to manage a Cape Breton Fiddle Group.
I would love to find someone to play with -- either a guitar player or piano player - or anyone else for that matter!
Would also like to know if anyone has any idea of what the tunes are on Ashely MacIsaac's Fiddle 101 CD. There are no liner notes with specific breakdowns. Any help would be appreciated.
Is there much call in the US for tenor banjoisers. I live in dublin but wouldn't mind travelling/working/playing over there for a while. How would it go down?
There is a great deal of music going on in NYC and the surrounding area. You would be welcome to join us on Wednesday evenings in Clifton, NJ. It would be best if you drove. There is bus service to with-in a block or two of the pub I just don't know what time the last bus runs back to the city.
