Laura Byrne, Baltimore flutist, is going to be releasing her first solo CD, "Tune for the Road", during two different release parties.
The first is being held this Friday, July 8, from 9 PM- 1 AM at J.Patricks in Baltimore (Maryland). She will be joined by the likes of Pat Egan, Jim Eagan, Myron Bretholtz and a host of other quality Baltimore musicians (and beyond). If you're not familiar with the pub, do a search under the sessions section on this website.
The second is being held on Wednesday, July 13, starting at 9:30 PM. It is being held at Erin's Melody at the Catskills Irish Arts Week in East Durham, NY.
The party was a blast! Great music (Billy McComiskey made Myron go and get Conan and Bridie and drag 'em up to play with them before they asked everyone up to play), and the album is very good -- get a copy!
