Must have been D-GAD, short for Dear God its ****ing freezing sitting out here playing on this porch, have these guys no respect for us professional artists.
Seamus Tansey plays a slow air [ slightly flat ] While Ben Lennon talks about *music on the periphery *in a voice of contempt. I`m the one under the porch catching the drips through the floor, in a bowl.
I think you should write a tune called `Peach Alba` Brendy. Sounds like a jig or hornpipe to me.
I'd offer a serious answer if I had one, but I've never heard of the film, much less seen it, and a google turned up a horde of Clare tourist sites but no movie.
Robby, if you can post a link, sound clip, or even a snippet of abcs we might have a better chance of sussing this out.
From Here to Clare
From Here to Clare
There's a scene near the end of the film where Martin Hayes and Dennis are playing a tune on a porch. Can anyone name it?

I name this porch Peach Alba - may god bless her and all who sail in her!
[Champagne smashes against side of said porch - Martin and Dennis descend to their knees and sup the stuff off the floor]

Re: From Here to Clare
The tune is "The Boys of Ballysodare" (3 part reel). They play it in F although it's more commonly heard in G.
