Skype on-line Irish sessions?

Skype on-line Irish sessions?

I don't know if anybody has already put this idea here,
But - The current version of Skype supports up to 4 users
in a conference call, how about we try to create small
communities of people who want to meet on-line and
have a session?

Re: Skype on-line Irish sessions?

Hi

I thought of doing something like this with a web cam or microphone but couldn't find any software which would work.

This "Skype looks good though!

Cheers

Re: Skype on-line Irish sessions?

I'm not sure it'll work properly, but I'd like to try it. :)

Ok then, I'll put my skype link here and if anyone wishes
to have an on-line session, I'd be happy to!

Re: Skype on-line Irish sessions?

Has the technology caught up to this so that multiple users would have more than decent audio involved?

Re: Skype on-line Irish sessions?

I think there will be delays, so it probably won't work very good with timing. I haven't tried, so I can't really say. But I think that every millisecond is important in getting a session feeling, so I'm a sceptic, really.

When I get a decent microphone I'd love to try it, though!

Re: Skype on-line Irish sessions?

I actually tried it before and it worked quite flawlessly..
Go ahead and give it a go, we could always talk
about Irish music instead :)
